Boba Fett's original voice

Why: Boba’s voice before the 2004 DVD version of ESB sounded much cooler than the new one. Jason Wingreen made it sound kind of evil, and that made the character both mysterious and appealing to the audience. The new voice sounds like a trooper receiving commands from a superior officer, not like a bounty hunter at all. The old voice was also close enough to Jango’s voice in AOTC, and besides there is a good chance that Boba has a different accent than Jango since Jango was killed very long ago. And lastly, it doesn’t seem fair to immortalize someone by putting their voice in a Star Wars movie, and then just dubbing it out.

  1. Boba fett was created with Clint Eastwood, the Man with no name,in mind.Jason Wingreen voice and tone was very similar to Eastwood, perfect for the character. Temuera Morrison voiced that part like a clone, not as a seasoned and misterious warrior.
