Why: The lines, “I sense a plot to destroy the Jedi,” and, “The dark side of the Force surrounds the Chancellor,” are too much of a dead giveaway as to who and what Palpatine is, not to mention the fact that the Jedi are completely blind not to come to that conclusion. In my opinion, these two lines need to be completely changed.
How: These two lines can be changed to something like, “I’m starting to feel that there is a plot against the Jedi. The Chancellor is keeping something from us, but I can’t sense what it is.”
No, the original dialogue is perfect. If none of the Jedi were suspicious of Palpatine, it would make them look like idiots.
