Walk in the temple

Why: When Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Mace Windu are walking in the temple and talking about how some of the Jedi are getting overconfident, Mace says, “Remember Obi-Wan, if the prophecy is true, your apprentice is the only one who can bring the Force back into balance.” Now where the hell did that come from? This line has nothing to do with the conversation whatsoever and it makes Mace sound really stupid.

How: This is a very abstract idea, but it might work. Just after Yoda says, “Even the older, more experienced ones,” have Mace Windu say a line from one of the deleted scenes, “Obi-Wan, you must have faith that he will choose the right path.” This can be followed by him saying, “Remember, if the prophecy is true, your apprentice is the only one who can bring the Force back into balance.” Yoda can give a concluding statement here by saying something like, “The prophecy, never sure about it can we be, nevertheless, faith you must have in your apprentice.” This would go nicely with the following scene.
